Boussole

CulturaSDG analytical engine

Boussole (French for compass) is the guided analysis layer of CulturaSDG. Its role is to orient cultural organizations in the SDG landscape — not to prescribe a single path, but to illuminate where an organization currently stands and where it could go.

Every Boussole analysis is grounded in the UNESCO Culture|2030 Indicators framework and the UNCTAD Creative Economy taxonomy. The narrative and recommendations you receive are generated specifically for your sector, organization type, and country context — not generic sustainability advice.

How it works

  1. 1Your assessment responses are scored using the CulturaSDG SCI algorithm — a deterministic, auditable formula based on evidence depth (breadth × intentionality × documentation) across 14 SDGs.
  2. 2The scored results are passed to Boussole, which generates a narrative summary and sector-specific gap recommendations in your language.
  3. 3Every report receives a unique, verifiable ID. Third parties (funders, partners, institutional reviewers) can verify the report at culturasdg.vercel.app/verify/[id].

Full transparency

Analytical engine: Anthropic Claude (claude-sonnet-4-20250514). CulturaSDG is not affiliated with Anthropic.
Scoring algorithm: open and auditable. The SCI formula is published in the CulturaSDG Framework paper.
Data storage: assessment results are stored in a Google Sheets database accessible only to your organization and CulturaSDG administrators.
No hallucination risk on scores: the SCI score is computed deterministically before Boussole is called. Boussole only generates the narrative text — the numbers are never AI-generated.
